HOW BOUT EM!

Cowboys fans are able to sleep again! Dallas snapped It's 3 game skid when It was absolutely necessary. They faced off against the Eagles (4-3), who are their divisional rivals and were trailing the Eagles in the division standings going into the match.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys got off to a great start in the week 8 game and never looked back. They scored back-to-back touchdowns and they came within the first few minutes of the 1st quarter. Tavon Austin started the scoring with a 20 yard touchdown reception and then in just over a minute, RB Ezekiel Elliot had a 1 yard touchdown run to make it a two score game before the Eagles could blink. The boys then cruised on to halftime with a commanding 27-7 lead.

The second half was a clock chewing scenario for the Cowboys with their large lead. Dallas ended up winning the highly anticipated match up 37-10 and quieted down the Cowboys haters a little bit. Running back, Ezekiel Elliot, had a huge game, rushing for over 100 yards with a touchdown.

This image is a good depiction of how the game went last week for the Eagles

That was only the Cowboys 7th game out of 16 on the season but It had a much more important feel than you would think. The Cowboys had no confidence and were no longer leading the division as the halfway point was coming up. A loss would have put them over a game behind the Eagles and losing 4 straight games, no matter how good you start is very tough.

After a great start from Dallas they got a lot of buzz but then once they got in their slump the hype behind them really vanished and I understand why but I believe now they are back and are underrated just like they were at the very beginning of the season. Personally, I think the Cowboys are a rather arrogant team and they were humbled week 4-6 and I think that will benefit them a lot as the season gets deeper and deeper.

I am very excited to see how the rest of their season transpires because they have a top 5 most talented roster in the national football league and they have not completely proven it yet.

Dallas (4-3) heads into New York to play the (2-6) Giants in week 9. That game will mark the over halfway mark for the season and playoff talk will get more and more prominent. Dallas played the Giants in week 1 and handled them well. I see the same thing happening 8 weeks later and Dallas will be at 5-3 heading into week 10 and fully in-control of their destiny.
